Case Study - PSAM

Department of Human Services - Property Services and Asset Management Branch ( PSAM) engaged Business Shaper in developing an ESD strategy and implementation plan identifying and aligning ESD priorities with the four key outcomes detailed in the 2008 – 2010 PSAM Business Plan.

A workshop involving members of the ESD and executive teams identified key ESD strategies for the four business plan outcomes, as well as some supporting actions and objectives for each of the strategies.

In developing a draft ESD strategy document for PSAM, Business Shaper incorporated the outcomes of the initial workshop as well as additional stakeholder input. Following Executive review and input of the draft, Business Shaper presented a final draft of the ESD Strategy to the Executive Team.

The final strategy and implementation plan was very well received by the PSAM Executive and successful in gaining their approval and sign-off.

Project Results

Development and delivery of an ESD strategy and implementation plan that:

• Engaged the PSAM executive in the ESD strategy development process
• Identified and prioritised key ESD strategies for PSAM as well as resourcing options for their delivery
• Aligned prioritised ESD strategies with the PSAM Business Plan’s key outcomes
• Was presented to the PSAM Executive by Business Shaper
• Was aligned to PSAM’s 2008 – 2010 Business Plan
• Was well received by the PSAM Executive Team, successfully gaining their approval and sign-off for implementation
